‘Text Neck’ is the new Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
Have a look at any bus terminal, train station or airport and all you’ll see are faces buried into smart phones and tablets.
Whilst modern technology is an amazing thing and it does allow us to remain connected to friends and loved ones, or allows us to stay connected to work outside of business hours, it is creating a global epidemic and an increase in repetitive strain injuries.
The constant repetitive action is not healthy for the body, and can cause chronic headaches, shoulder/neck pain, and in some cases a curvature of the spine.
How can you minimise the risk of text neck?
📱 Be aware of your posture.
📱 Take regular breaks from smart device use.
📱 Try looking down, rather than bending neck.
